Maurice Renard's THE BLUE PERIL (3 of 5 in the series) written in 1911 is a phenomenally forward-thinking sci-fi novel, comparable (if not superior in some respects) to WAR OF THE WORLDS. The concept is that non-human aliens who are made up of something that invisible dark matter and exist in orbital space capture men & women to study them just as we capture exotic deep fish for our aquariums. There is a Fortean aspect to the novel (although Renard had never heard of Charles Fort) as well as a lighter spoof of Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes (with whom he was very familiar). The cover is by Gilles Francescano.

J.-H. Rosny's THE WORLD OF THE VARIANTS (2 of 7 in the series) collects all of Rosny's tales of an intrepid explorer named Alglave, who is really Hareton Ironcastle in all but name, in underground caverns, lost jungles, mysterious islands, at the pole, etc. He encounters giant bats, boar-men, and all sorts of exotic non-human creatures. The last, title story is a sci-fi tale of a man who can travel to a parallel dimension, inhabited by other beings. The cover is by Vincent Laik.

Finally, our third release if Andre Caroff's THE TERROR OF MADAME ATOMOS, a translation of the first two novels in that remarkable series about a Japanese scientist eager to avenge of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (where she lost her family). The cover is by J.-M. Ponzio.
