ALBERT ROBIDA - THE ADVENTURES OF SATURNIN FARANDOUL

Pirates! Mummies! Cannibals! Intelligent Apes! Samurais! Cossacks! And even Saturnians! Meet Saturnin Farandoul and his companions as they travel the Earth and beyond in a series of wild and picaresque adventures!

Of all the authors who followed in the footsteps of Jules Verne, the most important was Albert Robida (1848-1926), a writer-artist who also became the founding father of science fiction illustration. Robida wrote and illustrated The Adventures of Saturnin Farandoul (1879), a mammoth, riotous and rollicking homage to Verne in which the indomitable Farandoul, raised by apes on a Pacific Island, teams up with Captain Nemo to conquer Australia, battles with Phileas Fogg in the American Civil War, meets Hector Servadac in orbit around Saturn, steals a white elephant from Michel Strogoff in Siberia and challenges Captain Hatteras at the North Pole.

ILLUSTRATED WITH OVER 150 ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS BY ROBIDA. COVER BY CHRISTINE CLAVEL.

BRIAN STABLEFORD - FRANKENSTEIN AND THE VAMPIRE COUNTESS

1821. Thanks to the technique discovered by Victor Frankenstein, it is now possible to resurrect the dead. Scotland Yard Superintendent Gregory Temple, on the trail of criminal mastermind John Devil, who plans to use such technology to reshape the world, is now forced to team up with Paris Morgue supervisor Jean-Pierre Severin, Malo de Treguern and Frankenstein's own creation to confront a cabal of vampires led by Count Szandor and the inhumanly beautiful Countess Marcian Gregoryi who also seek Frankenstein's secret...

Frankenstein and The Vampire Countess is the second volume (after THE SHADOW OF FRANKENSTEIN) in a prodigious Alternate History saga which embraces the works of Mary Shelley, Paul Féval, Alexandre Dumas and others, written by Brian M. Stableford.

COVER BY DANIELE SERRA:
