Happy New Year to everyone!
Our three January releases are:
The Adventures Of A Parisian Aeronaut In The Unknown Worlds (1856) by Alfred Driou about a guy who goes to the Moon in a balloon. This is really for die-hard proto-SF readers -- it reads like a cross between Cyrano de Bergerac and Jules Verne. Not unimportant, but of specialized interest. Cover by JP Normand.
Nemoville is one of Brian Stableford's continuing series of anthologies of proto-SF short stories. The title piece will be of interest to WN readers: Quebec writer Emma-Adèle Lacerte's 1917 sequel to Jules Verne's classic tale, Twenty Thousands Leagues Under the Sea in which people find the Nautilus (after MYSTERIOUS ISLAND) and use its advanced technology to build an underwater city. (Shades of Captain Nemo and...) Cover by Mandy.
Finally, THE MISTAKE OF MME ATOMOS is the fourth volume in the saga of the diabolical Japanese scientist hellbent on revenge against the US. In this one, Madame Atomos challenges the full might of the U.S. Army from her flying fortress, then unleashes a deadly bacteriological attack upon the State of Rhode Island. Need I say more? There's also a reprint of an Atomos story by Matt Baugh and an all-new short story by yous truly. Cover by JM Ponzio.
